Tek-khean Lee visited Hong Kong during the Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill Movement and he brought back a series of black and white woodcuts filled with dramatic tension. These artworks were created based on the concepts of left-wing woodcut prints which were prevalent during the Chinese Woodcut Movement in the 1920s and 1930s. The artworks reveal the contemporary ideology and social status using readily availabl
e wooden boards as temporary plates.
